Mazar-e-Quaid or the National Mausoleum refers to the tomb of the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It is an iconic symbol of Karachi throughout the world. The mausoleum completed in the 1960s, is situated at the heart of the city. Quaid-e-Azam`s Mausoleum is a prominent and impressive landmark of Karachi.Designed by Architect Yahya Merchant, this white marble Mausoleum with its curved arches and copper grills was completed in 1970. Its cool interior reflects the green of a four-tiered crystal chandelier gifted by the peoples Republic of China.
There is a large park surrounding the mausoleum. It is a must place to be visited. There are

It is really good to know about Quaid Mazar but I am far away from Karachi to visit it...
ReplyDeleteI think we should go and visit this Quaid Mazar, as it is our Quaid's, so either we are out side Pakistan we should go to see and salam his struggle for our Pakistan.
